Larger Production Facilities
Coast Coconut Farms has one larger production facility in operation which is located about 25 km south of Mombasa. This larger facility produces 100% natural virgin coconut oil for human consumption and employs 15 – 20 workers. We use a Direct Micro Expelling process which produces the finest quality virgin coconut oil. Oil produced at our larger facilities is certified organic and is subject to strict international quality standards. Our goal is to have several larger production facilities in operation up and down the coast of Kenya.

Story of one of our Team Members
Mwananhawa is a mother of five. Her oldest is 16 and the two youngest are 5 year old twins. Previous to working at Coast Coconut Farms she described herself as having a "backwards life." Her husband has not had work for some time and previously she used to sell roasted fish by the roadside. It hardly provided the means to support a family. Mwanahawa can now support her entire family with her income from Coast Coconut Farms, and has been able to send all of her children back to school. One day she wants to be able send her oldest for a quality higher education. She is very grateful to have her job here and says she is "happy."
